Inspiré par le projet de Francesco Tonucci et par d’autres lectures sur l’urbanisme et sa relation à l’enfance, le livre aborde l’importance de créer des espaces publics plus inclusifs, plus ludiques etb plus verts.

Résumé :
Dans une ville rigide, pensée par et pour les adultes, les enfants peinent à exister pleinement.
Leur jeu, la liberté de mouvement et l’exploration y sont limités. Jusqu’au jour où une tornade
vient tout boulverser : bâtiments, transports et espaces publics sont sens dessus-dessous. Face
au chaos, les enfants saisissent l’opportunité de réinventer leur environnement : prend alors forme une nouvelle ville plus ouverte, inclusive et ludique. Peu à peu, les adultes, pris dans cet élan de créativité, redécouvrent une cité vivante et conviviale.

Summary:
In a rigid city designed by and for adults, children struggle to truly exist. Their play, freedom of movement, and sense of exploration are all restricted. But one day, a powerful tornado sweeps through, overturning everything — buildings, transport, and public spaces alike. Amid the chaos, the children seize the opportunity to reinvent their surroundings—thus begins the creation of a new city that is more open, inclusive, and playful.

Little by little, the adults join in this surge of creativity and rediscover a city that feels alive again — a place for sharing, imagination, and connection.
